This meeting is open to the public and free of charge. A lunch buffet will be provided.

Traveling to the Meeting

The meeting is scheduled to permit travel by Amtrak trains 82 and 20 in the morning and trains 147 and 99 in the evening. Call 800-USA-RAIL for Amtrak reservations or visit Amtrak’s website.

Someone from VARP will meet Amtrak passengers at the Alexandria railroad station to travel by bus to and from the meeting.

From I-395 in both directions: Take the exit for Seminary Road east. Turn left at the first traffic light. There is a parking lot at the Burke Branch Library with limited capacity—first come, first served.

Public transportation from Alexandria

The King Street Metro station is adjacent to the Alexandria Amtrak station. Metrobus 28A and Dash buses AT2 and AT5 leave from stops in front of the Metro station. It is about a 15-minute ride to the library. The bus stop is Library Lane.
